1. John F. Kennedy won the Pulitzer Prize
One of the first unique facts about John F. Kennedy least known to the public is that he won a Pulitzer Prize. When he was in college, he wrote a historical novel for his thesis, which was published later on when he was 22 years old. Since he was so good at writing, Kennedy became a newspaper correspondent who wrote about WWII. Even after entering the political scene, he stuck to writing, and in 1957 he won a Pulitzer Prize for his book called “Profiles in Courage.”
However, there are still a lot of people who don’t believe the book was written by him. What do you think?
2. He wasn’t really…healthy
Even though John F. Kennedy was the youngest American president, he wasn’t a healthy person. But because he had to maintain a nice appearance to have a fruitful political career, he kept some things hidden. He had Addison’s illness and hypothyroidism, which, together with some severe back pain difficulties, left him in chronic discomfort. Kennedy was receiving medication constantly, despite most of the time displaying a smile on his face.
