2. Mummies from China had blonde hair

While this may seem like a weird entry on our list of facts about blonde women, it’s still a fact! From 2008 to 2011, experts in excavations discovered traces of a civilization from the 3rd millennium BC in the Taklamakan Desert in Xinjiang, China.

Among the artifacts found were exceptionally well-preserved bodies, so scientists did further research to find out more about them. Not only were they able to trace the roots of the civilization in that area, but they also identified some of the characteristics and features of the people who once lived there.

Surprisingly, most of the mummies had prominent blonde hair.
