1. The first blonde goddess of Hollywood became bald
The first entry on our list of facts about blonde women is something that may come as a surprise, especially if you’re a fan of classic black-and-white movies. Straight off the great success of “Hell’s Angels” in the 1930s, Jean Harlow claimed on several occasions that she was a natural blonde.
It turns out she lied about her locks. Her stylist had actually been bleaching her hair regularly with a mixture of ammonia, peroxide, household bleach, and soap flakes. Because of this, Harlow’s hair slowly fell off, and she was eventually forced to wear a wig to cover all the bald patches.
