Experts who studied this bizarre phenomenon stated that corpses can continue to move for more than a year after the person dies. Brace yourself, because we’re going to say a couple of creepy and suspicious things here.

While they were doing the research, scientists noticed that the arms of a dead person could significantly move. For instance, arms that were left down beside the body moved to the side of the body.

This scary movement is thought to be the result of the decomposition process, which causes the dead body’s ligaments to dry out and contract, and they pull the limbs while doing so. And let’s not forget about the fact that the hair and nails of a dead person could also grow substantially. Pretty weird, right?

4. Anacondas give birth to live babies

Another one of these facts that will make you feel like a genius is this one: as opposed to other snakes, anacondas don’t lay eggs, but they deliver live babies.

They’re not like any other snake for several reasons, including the fact that they can grow up to 30 feet in length and weigh up to 550 pounds, making them some of the biggest snakes on the planet.

Whoever said that Paris is the city of lights and that New York City is the beautiful city that never sleeps probably didn’t know what happens in Las Vegas.

Las Vegas is known as the perfect place for gamblers, getting married without too much prep, and having the time of your life. It is always put together, always ready for a party, and always full of lights.

The proof is thanks to Astronaut Shane Kimbrough on the International Space Station, who posted on Twitter a picture where you could see the gorgeous bright lights of Las Vegas working their magic, even in space.

8. Red eye in photos = blood

When the flash of your beautiful camera goes off, your eye isn’t ready for the sudden influx of light, and your pupil doesn’t have enough time to restrict. You surely flash when the lighting is poor, so your eyes are already dilated to adjust to the dark environment you’re in.

When the flash goes off and the photographer takes the photo, your eyes are still dilated, which means that the light reflects off of the red blood vessels of the choroid, and that’s the layer of connective tissue in the back of the eye that takes care of your retina.

In 2015, a man in Texas got mad when he noticed a cute armadillo wandering around in his gorgeous yard, so he grabbed his gun and shot the Armadillo. He was shocked when he noticed that the bullet ricocheted off of the animal’s shell only to hit him in the jaw and then go straight to the ER.

10. Why do bruises change color

When you hit something, you notice a bruise on your skin in a matter of minutes or hours, depending on how sensitive you are. But you should know that a bruise is caused by bleeding under the skin because your tiny blood vessels, called capillaries, are crushed, and they expel the blood that remains under your skin.

At first, your bruise will look red because the blood is filled with oxygen. However, things will change in a day or two because the blood begins to lose its oxygen and turns purple.

After a couple more days, your bruises will turn gray, green, or yellow, depending on the compounds called bilirubin and biliverdin that break down the hemoglobin to absorb minerals and vitamins for your body to use and get better. The rest of the waste is finally purged from your body or absorbed back into it.
