5. They observe and remember
People with high IQs are often praised for their powers of observation. This doesn’t mean they are like Sherlock Holmes, but they do notice what happens around them, and this ability suggests intelligence.
This is called working memory, which is the capability to store and work with certain pieces of information. A 2010 study discovered that working memory is strongly associated with fluid intelligence.
In fact, the ability to observe and notice has a strong relationship with different types of intelligence. For instance, people with spatial-visual intelligence have a good eye for patterns. Also, those with verbal-linguistic intelligence have a great memory for things they read or hear.
