Over the years, there have been many misconceptions about blondes. Chances are, you know a couple of them. In terms of pop culture, blonde stereotypes fall into three main categories.

For one, the ice-cold blond comes from Grace Kelly’s portrayals. Similarly, the blonde bombshell stereotype comes from Brigitte Bardot. Lastly and most prominently, Marilyn Monroe has left a legacy of dumb blondes, which we strongly disagree with.

10. Alfred Hitchcock only cast blondes

Famously known as the “Master of Suspense,” Alfred Hitchcock had a sort of obsession with blondes, and it seems that he favored them for roles in his films. Interestingly, the blonde women starring in his movies became pretty famous during that era.

Some of those who became big icons because of their roles were Janet Leigh, Tippi Hedren, Grace Kelly, Eve Marie Saint, and Carol Lombard.
