4. More rational
The evidence is on our side once again. Brain researchers have found small average differences in how men’s and women’s brains are built, although individuals vary far more than the averages do.
One example is the cerebral cortex: several imaging studies have found that, on average, women have a slightly thicker cortex in some regions. What that means for everyday thinking is still being studied.
5. Brain size doesn’t decide intelligence
On average, women’s brains are about 9% smaller than men’s, largely because brain size scales with overall body size.
That difference has no bearing on intelligence. Studies consistently find no meaningful gap in average intelligence between men and women, and brains are organized efficiently at every size.
