Google knows where you’ve been!

This is definitely one of the most shocking things Google knows about you, but you already guessed this, didn’t you? Certain Google services indeed track your position to offer location-based services, but they still know where you are and have been.

In essence, Google Maps keeps track of your whereabouts. As a navigation app, that is what it is meant to accomplish. The geographical information that Google records is the basis for the traffic congestion notifications that we receive.

Do you want to know more about all the things Google knows about you? But promise you won’t panic! Google is also aware of the locations of your images and Google Assistant and Google Photos also track your activities.

But unfortunately, by accepting the user agreement you give Google permission to share this information with others even if it may feel like a danger to your online privacy! All apps should have their location services disabled, except for navigation software and other apps that require your location to function.

Now, if you want to creep yourself out launch Timeline on a desktop computer and select the year tab located in the top left corner of the screen. To view a list of the most popular locations, select the all-time option and then click the red box in the lower-left corner. You’ll be surprised!
