Mount Rainier, Washington
Mount Rainier is the tallest mountain in the state of Washington and one of the most well-known in the US. There hasn’t been an eruption in over 500 years. But if there ever is one, this place would officially be one of the most dangerous national parks in the US.
So, in a way, it has the biggest potential of being the most perilous volcano and park in the country. And even though the volcano hasn’t erupted, there ARE lots of earthquakes.
The National Park Service recommends you take some walkie-talkies with you in case your group gets separated. If you don’t have any, we recommend ordering a pair of these walkie talkies from Amazon. In the wintertime, visitors should be worried about avalanches.
Over the years, dreadful avalanches have taken the lives of numerous people at once. While you can read avalanche reports before heading out, occasionally, it just can’t be predicted.
So what did you think about our choices for the most dangerous national parks in the US? Would you agree? Here at Mind Bending Facts, we’d love to know your thoughts. Share them with us in the section below!

thank you this was very informative. this proves that research should be done before any type of adventure into the wilderness.
I can’t believe that the Grand Canyon piece didn’t mention that several people that camped there, on getting up at night walked over the rim and fell to their deaths.
